As we enter into the 2020 holiday season, we at Cassell Plan Audits have been reflecting on gratitude.
It’s always meaningful to consider what we’re thankful for, but in 2020, it feels even more important to put our thoughts down on paper . . . virtually, anyway.
For businesses around the globe, including our clients and vendors, life changed almost overnight in the spring of this year. Normal points of reference became a moving target. Many of our staff are parents, and they suddenly found themselves in the role of tutor, caretaker, and food service professional in addition to their usual full time jobs. Some got sick themselves, or took care of loved ones.
“Social distancing” became a common expression and practice. We developed a “new normal” of home and work routines, and those landscapes continued to shift as school resumed this fall.
We have performed our audits virtually for many years, but the sudden and dramatic changes that came along with COVID-19 caught everyone off guard, and Cassell Plan Audits was no exception.
We want to take this time to acknowledge the strength in our team, and the graciousness of our clients. Deadlines originally promised or expected had to be changed as we all experienced collective upheaval, and our vendors experienced the same. We know things haven’t been easier for any other business out there.
So to our clients, our staff, and our vendors, we say a warm and heartfelt thank you. Thank you for your understanding, your patience, your encouragement, and your strength.
It has been a stressful and tumultuous year of transition for all of us, but I’m incredibly proud that we’ve come out the other side stronger than ever. Through it all, we’ve done whatever it took to get the job done, and will continue to do so, while protecting the welfare of our staff and clientele.
I am truly proud of the values, spirit, and strength I have seen in our team, and in the teams we serve.
